As the world celebrated the 7 billionth inhabitant this week, it's worth thinking about our constantly growing information society. The balance of having data stored in a useful manner weighs delicately against the right to privacy. How much do we want to share and how much do we have the right to know? These kinds of topics are the focus of this year's Impakt Festival in Utrecht. Running November 2-6, the festival uses a mix of debates, lectures, presentations, film screenings, concerts and workshops to explore the many facets of the information society we now live in and to deal with the many conflicting interests that arise.
