Every November marijuana enthusiasts from around the world converge on Amsterdam, for one extra special event known as the Cannabis Cup. This year High Times Magazine presents the 24th edition of the event that can be described as a mix between a film festival, a convention, a 4 day music event, and of course- hanging out slightly stoned in your parents' basement.

Contrary to what you might think based on the title or its illustrious reputation, the cup is actually opened to anyone. You don't have to be a professional or an industry insider to get in, I myself worked for this event a few times in the past. Everyone is very friendly and naturally curious about all the different political, scientific, and cultural issues related to marijuana.

If any of this sounds interesting, I assure you it is, and the dates to remember are November 20-24. Many people want the participate as "judges" which anyone can do by purchasing the (not cheap!) judges pass. For the good money you'll be spending, you do get lots of judges perks.
