Sunday, September 4, marks the opening of the Utrecht cultural season. As always, the event is celebrated with the Uitfeest, a city-wide celebration of arts and culture. Neude will be serving as a meeting place, with music, food, drinks, and presentations by Joris Linssen and Eva Brouwer. Catharijneconvent is the site of the official launch of the season, with various presentations and performances. Arie Abbenes, the Dom's carillonneur for 25 years, will be performing a farewell concert as he retires. Meanwhile, the Stadsschouwburg will be celebrating its 70th birthday with a variety of concerts and programs. If you're feeling a bit more political, head to the Stadhuis for a political satire performance.
