It's hard to miss the Winkel van Sinkel on the Oudegracht in Utrecht. Besides being a picturesque building right on the most famous canal in Utrecht, it's also got a great terrace area to sit outdoors, enjoy the scenery, and people-watch. But there's much more to the building. Along with the bars and cafés inside, the building is also home to a number of regular events to appeal to a broad number of people.

For example, every Wednesday evening, at 18:30, you can go get a palm or tarot card reading. Each Tuesday evening, stitcher and knitters and other thread/yarn enthusiasts can attend the local Stitch 'n Bitch gathering from 19:30 to 23:00. During the weekends, the events change from week to week, with dance parties, salsa and tango nights, jazz concerts and film nights, just to name some of the upcoming events.

Tomorrow, September 1, there is a free jazz/big band concert at 21:00. Saturday, fans of '80s and '90s music can get into the groove at the We All Love '80s & '90s dance party. Tickets are €10 in advance and €15 at the door. The event starts at 23:00 and runs until 5:00.
