Typical Dutch Stuff

Maybe some of you out there used to live in the Netherlands, but now call another country home. Perhaps there are certain Dutch delicacies that you miss but didn't think you had access to anymore.

Well, there's hope! Today I discovered TypicalDutchStuff.com, a company that attempts to meet this need. From their website, they explain:

What began with a relatively traditional selection of Dutch products, has expanded into a company that not only offers the basics, but also focuses on a large selection of frozen Dutch snacks (fun fact: we are the only company who offers this service!), traditional and trendy Delft Blue souvenirs, wooden clogs, handmade jewelry, and original Dutch bikes and accessories...The website does not only feature products that can be ordered, but it is also a source for information and it is highly interactive. That is why TypicalDutchStuff.com offers a selection of Recipes, a Blog, Dutch Commercials, and many contests. These are just one of the key aspects that set TypicalDutchStuff.com apart from the rest!

This is a great idea even if you do live in the Netherlands. In my experience, I always have orders from the US for stroopwafels and drop, and often find myself running out of suitcase space to fulfill all requests from my friends and family. Hmmm...why not just ship them, instead! I also like the idea of having a Dutch Omafiets shipped to my parent's house in Minnesota...
