Gaming In Neude

neude screen
If you're wondering what the big screen set up in Neude is for, it's actually part of the Venice Biennale exhibition. DROPSTUFF.eu has been selected as official Collateral Event of the famous art show, and from June 1 till July 31 DROPSTUFF.eu will present six new artistic games, with three screens set up in locations around Venice, and three screens set up in the Netherlands, including the screen here in Utrecht. Eindhoven and Den Haag are the other two locations of screens in the Netherlands.

Game designers, artists and filmmakers have collaborated to create a series of games that can be played and directed by the public, in both countries. People in Venice can play and interact with people here in the Netherlands, through the use of smartphones. Players gain access through the mobile website m.dropstuff.eu.

Along with the games, short films and videos will be shown under the title DEUS: Dutch Experiments on Urban Screens. For more information and schedules, as well as a chance to see some of the short films, visit the Dropstuff website (available in English and Dutch).
