Today I wanted to highlight a blog I find particularly helpful in learning the Dutch language. It's called Dutch Word of the day (DWOTD) and it does an incredible job of explaining little known facts and nuances of the Dutch language. As they describe it,

This Dutch language blog covers a Dutch word or expression in English almost every weekday and is meant as a fun study aid for those learning to speak Dutch. The examples, expressions, related words and extra info on Dutch culture are an entertaining supplement to any Dutch language course!

It's true: Yes, you get a word almost every day, but you also get an explanation of how that word can be used in various sentences, and you get a background into its use. Anyone who has attempted to learn Dutch will tell you that this is absolutely necessary in reaching fluency! DWOTD have also started with weekly quizzes, so you can test your accumulating knowledge of the words they cover.
