As well as being a national holiday, 2 June is also the anniversary of the day when Utrecht received city rights from Henry V in the year 1122. As part of the celebration, a free tour of the city's "birthplace", the Schatkamer Domplein, will take place at 12:45. A new test excavation has begun at the site to look for archaeological remains that might still exist in the Domplein.Tickets are free for the tour, but only available on a first-come first-serve basis. Tickets can be picked up at Domplein 24 a half hour before the tour.
