This Sunday, 3 July, Horeca Lucasbolwerk, a collection of bars, cafés and restaurants, will be hosting the first Mosselfestival in Utrecht. The event will take place at Zocher Park along Lucas Bolwerk, and will feature fresh mussels provided by Habraken Vis en Mosselhandel and prepared by Snoque Deux uit Bruinisse. Local organic beer from De Leckere will be available, as will a selection of wines from Peek en van Beurden. Zocher Park sits along the Wittevrouwensingel, so you can enjoy some lovely scenery to go with the food and drink.
Entrance to the event is free and a serving of mussels costs just €3.50. The festival starts at noon and will be officially opened at 14:00 by Utrecht writer and comedian Vincent Bijlo. It ends at 19:00, but feel free to visit Café de Potdeksel, Cafe de Stad, Café Tilt or Brasserie Zocher afterward, as they're the ones who have gotten together to organize this event.
