Being "from" Amsterdam, I was surprised to wander by a little shop called Leidseplein in the middle of old Leiden.
A little background: Leidseplein is one of the most famous areas of Amsterdam, for those of you who aren't familiar with the city. It is a meeting point of thousands, where you can hop off one of many trams to watch flame throwers, football jugglers, or admire fellow tourists basking in the sun.
So I was a little surprised to see such a name on a tiny, unassuming shop in Leiden. Situated on the Pieterskerkgracht 28, Leidseplein also identifies itself as a General Store, though after a big of googling I see that it is a coffeeshop (yes, one of those coffeeshops).
It just goes to show you that you never know what you may find on a stroll through Leiden's beautiful little cobblestone streets.
