On Saturday, 11 June 2011 from 10am to 5pm, the annual Leiden Bee Market will take place. For 70 years the market has attracted thousands of visitors.
You can buy all sorts of unusual and handmade products at the market, such as wooden toys, handmade dolls, original handmade gifts, and natural products such as artisan cheeses, felt, textiles, and handmade silk scarves.
Beekeepers teach visitors about the amazing life of bees and show how they deal with their bees. Visitors can buy all kinds of bee products like honey, honey cakes, wine and a honey bee plant - even bee hives!
The market is located on the Zoeterwoudse singel by the Trigon sports park in Leiden.
