Walking (and running) season is here again. The sun is shining, the days are longer and the walkers are hitting the pavement (well, at least the less hardcore group that stopped during winter). Want to test out your newfound stamina, but not quite ready to take it up to a jog? Try walking the Singelloop in Leiden.
On 15 April the 36th annual Leidsch Dagblad Singelloop will take place in the picturesque center of Leiden, throughout its beautiful canals. The race is 6.6 kilometers and begins at the entrance to Nuon, located at Langegracht 70. It's a short walk from the Central Station if you're coming in from out of town.
The race starts at 7:30pm and numbers are on sale (EUR 3) as of 26 March (a list of places you can get a number are here). Proceeds go to four charities in the region.
