Actually it isn't that new, but in the year or so that is has been opened I only recently wandered in to the newest Burrito depot in Amsterdam. Located on the busy Overtoom, just beside Vondelpark in the booming Oud West neighborhood, Tomatillo makes beloved Mexican standards for eating in or taking out.

Veterans of the Amsterdam food scene will tell you how there are limited options for real Mexican food in this town. They're right. But Tomatillo isn't trying to bring you a real Mexican restaurant, all it tries and succeeds in doing is slapping together fresh and zesty tex-mex cuisine. Burritos, Fajitas, Tostadas, and Tacos consisting of an array of ingredients are all part of the daily menu. They even manage to sneak in some delicious non-text-mex desserts for those wanting to top their meal with something sweet.
