The Muiderpoorttheater in Amsterdam will soon host the festival focused on global dance traditions. One highlight of this festival is "Carmen danst de Kaasfabriek" or "Carmen dances the Kaasfabriek" a custom show originally presented in the old factory buildings in Alkmaar. The show explores the theatrical qualities of flamenco. The starting point for this show is the stories of Spanish immigrants, and is performed by advanced flamenco dancers. Irene Brown has trained with various flamenco dancers in Seville, Spain.
