Amsterdam: A Just City?

From 14-18 February, the Amsterdam Student Association of Planning (ASAP) is organizing a symposium about the 'Just City' concept from Susan Fainstein. As the keynote speaker, Professor Fainstein will explore this idea along with other notable academics. Unlike most academic conferences, the evening lectures are open to the public.

More detail from the ASAP:

The purpose of the conference is to offer an interactive program in which an international academic community of urban planners and human geographers is triggered to exchange their knowledge about the most recent developments in urban theories and issues of the postindustrial city. The conference contains multiple readings of keynote speakers such as Susan Fainstein, an introduction to Amsterdam's planning philosophy and several workshops on innovative planning projects in Amsterdam. For urban planners, this is the ultimate possibility to expand their knowledge of urban planning in the Netherlands and especially Amsterdam.
