There are lots of clubs and bars and places around Utrecht with special parties planned for the New Year. Take your pick for the one that best suits your speed of celebration. Lots of places are already sold out, with a full waiting list, but a couple of places you may want to check -- well-known spots here in Utrecht -- are Winkel van Sinkel and ACU. Both offer a fun night of dancing, but perhaps with different scenes.

Winkel van Sinkel (Oudegracht 158) is going glam, with a New Year's party themed, For Your Eyes Only. The party is a mix of Bond and the best of the 1980s and 1990s. Tickets are €35 in advance and €45 at the door. The party gets started at 22:00.

If you plan on taking in the insane fireworks display at midnight and have plans for earlier in the evening, you may want to consider ACU (Voorstraat 71) for your after-midnight festivities. They're hosting their annual new year's party with DJs playing a mix of music, and ticket prices that won't leave you bankrupt for the new year. Tickets are €5 at the door, and doors open at 0:30.
