Starting tonight, there are a handful of different musical offerings available this weekend, both free and paid. First up is Rumor 63, a Festival of Adventurous Music. Taking place in three different locations around Utrecht (Ekko, Vredenburg Leeuwenbergh, and SJU Jazzpodium). At Vredenburg is a collection of Sequenza compositions by Luciano Beria for trumpet, alto violin, trombone and guitar. Ekko is hosting Petrella, Pupillo, Pandi, a trio inspired by Tibetan Buddhism; and SJU is hosting Volcano The Bear, a British improvisational and avant-garde group. Shows start at 20:30 and admission is €15 (or less with the usual discounts). More information is available at the Rumor website.

Also tonight at 19:30 at Kargadoor (Oudegracht 36) is the regular Intercultural Teahouse event, which is free. Tonight's program will include a performance by the Thomas Baggerman Trio, which includes musical genres such as bebop, gypsy swing and bossa nova.

Finally, this Sunday at Plato Utrecht (Voorstraat 35), Mondo Leone will be presenting their new CD with a free performance in-store. The event runs from 16-19:00.
