The annual Impakt festival has returned to Utrecht. The main theme of the festival this year is Matrix City, in which various art mediums explore what the concept of city means and what a city can look like. With the various construction projects going on in Utrecht right now, it's apropos.
The festival runs from 13-17 of October at various locations throughout the city center. There will be film events at 't Hoogt theater on Slachtstraat, as well as some large-screen showings of short films at Neude square. Conference events will be held at Studio T, while an exhibition will be held in the Hoog Catharijne shopping center. Further events will be held at Theater Kikker, and there will be an unusual audio walk through the city, exposing the city's electromagnetic radiation. There will be music and dance events to round out the experience. Check the festival's official website (in English and Dutch) for the full schedule.
