John Lennon would have been 70 years old this week, had he not been assassinated in 1980. In the Netherlands, much like throughout the world, Lennon is loved and still celebrated today. Therefore this week the Rock and Art Hall of Fame Holland, also known as Rockart Museum, is hosting an exhibition dedicated to the life and work of John Lennon and the Beatles. The exhibition includes screenings of the 1988 documentary about Lennon, Imagine.
The Rockart museum does not usually appear on the big must-see museum lists in the average Netherlands travel book but offers a very unique collection of music and pop culture memorabilia. It is located in Hoek van Holland, and opened Thursday thru Saturday from 1pm to 5pm.
