John Cassavetes Retrospective

tHoogt.jpgFans of the films of John Cassavetes are in for a treat this week as 't Hoogt in Utrecht, a theater/restaurant, is hosting a Cassavetes Retrospective, showcasing some of his most famous films. The American actor and director is considered to be highly influential to American independent film.

Each night, a different film will be shown at 7 p.m. Tonight, Tuesday, October 20, is the film Faces. The rest of the week the schedule is:
Wednesday, A Woman Under the Influence
Thursday, The Killing of a Chinese Bookie
Friday, Opening Night
Saturday, Gloria and Love Streams (check the site or call for times)

Tickets are €8 (discounts are also available) and can be purchased online or at the theater (box office opens a half hour before the show). The theater is located at Hoogt 4, Utrecht, and the phone number is 030 2312216.
