The summer festivals may be drawing to a close as an autumn nip enters the air, but this weekend there's one more chance to enjoy a few music festivals in and around Utrecht.

In Woerden, just to the west of Utrecht, the Summerlake Outdoor Festival is going on this Saturday. Spread over two outdoor spots at the Defensie-Eiland (a short walk from the train station), the festival has an international lineup of DJs spinning progressive, trance, electo, house and techhouse. Some of performers include Erick E, Hardwell, Marcel Woods, and Sied van Riel. The event starts at noon and goes until 11 p.m.

Tickets are €22.50 in advance and €32.50 at the door. Ticket purchasing info, maps to the location and the full line-up can be found at the official Summerlake website.

Another music festival going on this week(end) is the Utrecht Boft! festival starting today. This four-day music festival, presented by Ekko and Theater Kikker, showcases some of the best national and international adventurous pop musicians, including J. Tillman (of Fleet Foxes), Lost Bear, Guido Möbius, Fol Chen, AU, Bram Stadhouders Korps and more.

Tickets for each night's shows are €15 (€16.50 for the EKKO/Kikker combo ticket), and the shows start at 8 p.m. Check the Ekko and Theater Kikker websites for more information.
