As the weekend is now approaching, I would suggest for anyone if the weather is in our favor to head to the Blijdorp zoo in Rotterdam. Tickets may seem a little expensive, normally 18euro for adults, but its well worth it and it wouldn't be surprising if you were to spend the whole day wondering through the park. Blijdorp has experienced a summer baby-boom; baby giraffes, new young antelopes, on the 14 juli a new baby rhinoceros by the name of Bertus joined the Blijdorp family, baby camel Sjoerrd came at the end of the may and to add to all the excitement of newcomers the polar ice bears have returned. Every Saturday and Sunday from 11.00 to 16.00 in the Gorilla hut there is an information point about the work from Jane Goodall Nederland. Come and be amazed by the abundance of animals, and even interact with some of them.
