I’m away from the Netherlands right now, and missed the Gay Pride Parade this past weekend. The events this year took place between 29 July and 3 August, and the photos on the website show that it was just as much fun as it’s been in past years.

People often ask me when they should visit Amsterdam. Queen’s Day (30 April) is a no-brainer, but another great weekend to be around is during Gay Pride. The whole city comes alive with music, exhibitions, and parties. The Canal Parade must be seen to be believed!
