I’ve lived in the Netherlands for years, and had never heard about De Efteling until a friend told me. Granted, it’s for kids, but it sounds like so much fun that I might have to check it out myself soon.

The park opened in 1935 and now includes a huge array of fantasy attractions (see this link for details). In the summer, the park is open from 10 am to 9pm. It’s a little pricey – tickets are between EUR 27 and 29, with a two-day ticket for EUR 49 – but from what I’ve heard it’s completely worth it.
