Body art

If you’re intrigued by the human body, check out “Bodies: The Exhibition” at Beurs van Berlage. Learn things you never knew before about this body that we all inhabit. But if your stomach is easily upset, it’s probably best to skip this one.

Honestly, the website alone (primarily the intro) is an experience. And a warning of what to expect, if you’re delicate.

It opens tomorrow (Saturday) and runs until March 15. Tickets are 20 Euros, students pay 16 (all prices plus 2.50).

Jesse:

This exhibit came thru Seattle, WA and my friend & i went to see it. Seeing as all the bodies looked chinese she asked the tour guide where the bodies came from. Apparently they are predominantly 'unclaimed' bodies from China...just something to think about (how does the Chinese governments define 'unclaimed'), Was everything i saw there neat? yes, but nothing you couldn't see in a textbook. And why the expensive tickets? I just think there are some questions as to the purpose & motives of the exhibit.
Oh and not to mention the fact that only males were holding footballs, playing sports, while the women were only used to show off their 'different' sexual organs...
